Jeffrey Waller



Originally born and raised on Whidbey Island, Jeffrey Waller graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1998. Jeff moved to the Midwest to attend Washington University in St. Louis where he was an honors graduate with degrees in History and American Culture Studies. Jeff graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 2005 and was a member of the law school's Journal of Sports Law and Contemporary Problems. While in Chicago, Jeff acted as the President of the Chicago Bar Association Probate Practice Committee and served on the Young Professionals Board of the Center for Disability & Elder Law. Jeff currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trustees for the Oak Harbor Educational Foundation, which provides grants and scholarships for local Oak Harbor students and educators.

Jeff returned to Whidbey Island in February 2016 when he joined the Law Office of Christon C. Skinner, P.S. as an associate attorney. Prior to that, Jeff spent nine years with a boutique firm in Chicago as a specialist in probate, guardianship, estate planning, and special needs planning. Jeff’s practice also emphasizes business and real estate matters.

Michael Waller



Michael Waller has been a lawyer in Oak Harbor for over 40 years. Prior to establishing Waller and Waller, P.S. with his son Jeff, Mike practiced as Of Counsel with the Law Office of Christon C. Skinner, P.S. since January 2011. Mike was the principal member of Zylstra Beeksma & Waller, the firm with which he was a partner or member since 1979.

Mike grew up in Oak Harbor and graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1968. He returned to Oak Harbor in 1975 after graduating from the University of Washington School of Law. He received a BA in economics from the University of Washington in 1972.

Mike has always been involved in community service, including as a member of the Oak Harbor School District Board of Directors between 1983 and 1991. Since completing that service, Mike has served on several citizen committees for the school district, including those for budget, bond/levy elections, and facilities. Mike is a founding member and has been Vice President of the Oak Harbor Educational Foundation since its inception in 1992, and also serves on the Oak Harbor Excellence in Education committee, of which he has acted as its chair since 1991. Mike has also served on the Board of Directors for Help House, the local food bank, since 1994.

Additionally, Mike spent several years as the Island County representative on the Board of Evergreen Legal Services and is currently the Island County Bar Association representative on the Island County Justice Court Districting Committee. Additionally, Mike served on the North Whidbey Little League Board of Directors, acted as its President for several years, and coached youth baseball and basketball in Oak Harbor for children aged seven through high school between 1986 and 2007. He served on the Oak Harbor High School Booster Club from 1995 to 2005, serving as President the last five years.

Mike enjoys an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, and his practice emphasizes estate planning & and estate administration, as well as real estate and business matters. He also has served as a mediator in over 130 meditations and does pro bono work with the Island County Volunteer Lawyer Program.

Mr. Waller is admitted to the Washington State Bar as well as the U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington.
